30 Ways to Use Digital Planning in Your Life (Part 2)
Once you’ve started to digitally plan you may be thinking “How else can I use my digital planner?” Here is part 2 for the 30 Ways You Can Use Digital Planning in Your Life:
16 - Mood Tracking
Your mood tracker can be used in tandem with the cycle tracker or alone. It can be enlightening to see if you continually feel a certain way at the same point each month.
Maybe every Tuesday you find that you are extra tired. Perhaps around the full moon, you have strange dreams, etc.
17 - Finance Vision Board
It’s good to have goals in every aspect of your life even if they’re small. This is the visual representation of your financial goals. It can give you more excitement to see your goals visually rather than just in writing.
For example, if I want to save $1,000.00 for a trip to Mexico City; I would add pictures of what I want to be doing in Mexico City (with that $1,000 I am aiming to save).
18 - Financial Goals
This is the written out version of your goals. You can brain storm, identify, and pinpoint exactly what your financial goals are for each month.
19 - Financial Check-In/audit
I like to do a financial audit every quarter. This helps keep me on track with my above goals, and it allows me to celebrate my successes or tweak my action plan if I come across any challenges. It can document how you feel about money and how that changes over time (it doesn’t always change!).
20 - Basic Budgetting
If you don’t have a budget sheet that you use, this is a simple one to get you in the habit. I use this one as a bare-bones guide for my budget. It’s simple and doesn’t take up too much of your time.
21 - Photo album
I don’t know about you, but I like to look at pictures from time to time and just ~ reminisce ~. I create a roundup of photos from each month and then add it into my digital photo album in my digital calendar. These are the pages I use the most when I am looking back at my calendar in future years.
22 - Journal
Sometimes you just need a space to journal and write out your thoughts and feelings. Having the space to free-write is vital for me, because this is where I’ll put any braindumps.
23 - Travel Planning
It’s been hard for me to travel due to the pandemic, I use the vision board template to figure out where I want to travel to (next) and all the activities I plan on doing. I’ll include pictures of cities, plane/train ticket stubs, food pics, hotels I am interested in, etc.
Once the trip is closer, I’ll use a blank vision board to figure out what I will bring in my carry-on.
24 - Outfit Tracker
I am a proud outfit repeater. I track my clothes and the outfits I like. I’ll make a copy of the “Year in Review” and add in my favorite outfit for each month.
I use the “habit tracker” template to see if I get 30+ wears out of a new item before I add to my closet.
25 - Social Media - Analytics tracking
I use my digital planner to track my analytics for various social media accounts. It allows me to easily see the growth and projections of my endeavors. I can see which content performs the best and then adjust my upcoming schedule to be more aligned with the results as well as my own goals.
26 - Note taking
I am a jotter, like my mom, I am notorious for grabbing any random piece of paper around and just scribbling down a note to jog my memory later.
With my digital planner, I don’t need to keep track of a million different pieces of paper, I can just create a new page and jot down my notes (making sure to bookmark the page so i can easily find it later)!
27 - Doodling
Do you doodle? I do on occasion. I find it to be stress relieving. With digital planning, there is an opportunity for doodles wherever your heart pleases. Or you can create a blank template and use that as a doodle space.
28 - Travel Journal/Scrapbook
Similarly to how I use my digital planner before my travels to plan out the adventure; I will also use it as my travel journal WHILE I am on the travel adventure. I use it like an interactive journal/scrapbook.
29 - Concert Scrapbook
This same concept can be applied to nearly any event you have going on in your life that you’d like to commemorate. Concerts are always loads of fun, and I like to have some way to look back on it.
A way to see that I am in the good times while I am still there. (Yes, a lil office paraphrasing is happening!)
30 - Recipe Book
I love food. I am sure you do too. I’ve never met a person who doesn’t love food… So, when I find a recipe that blows me out of the water. I make sure I save it, and that I save it in the same spot as all my other recipes, in my Digital Planner.
All in all, there are many, many, MANY ways to use your Digital Planner. This list was non-exhaustive.; which is why it’s so important to identify what YOU (yes, you!) want to get out of digital planning. What you’d like to use digital planning for can evolve, and probably will evolve as time goes on.
Is there anything I left off this list that you use your Digital Planner for regularly? Comment below to let me know!
Wishing you oodles of joy!
